Many problems arise when people do not live with unity.
Scholars try to define political Integration but they cannot give a proper and accurate definition of political Integration because political Integration is a feeling and their feeling about political Integration is different from other people’s.
Advantages of Political Integration
Political Integration is a complex and multi-dimensional process. There are many benefits of political Integration and different Countries adopt political Integration for many reasons. They are:

Many countries try to influence others through political integration. If countries are united then many countries are fear to be attracted to them.
Example:
Before 1947, If the Indian people had been united then the British would never invaded India and never ruled rule for 200 years. and also never Indian suffer any economic problems.
We all know India was a golden bird and the British robbed it. If India also united before the Mughal invasion then Indian Culture also never have been destroyed and the Indian people never have suffered from the Communalism problem.

If any issues occur in society and if brotherhood exists then There is no need for police and court people themselves solve it silently just like a family solves their problem itself without inferring of police and court.
Disadvantages to Political Integration
Multiple barriers arise when the government tries to build political Integration and some people or some group’s leaders also try to divide people for their benefit in the name of Caste, religion, gender, etc. Some major barriers are:
(i) Religions
In India, Religion is the first and major barrier to Political Integration because, during the period of the Mughals, The rulers divided the people into Communal tension for their benefit and to increase their prosperity.
In India, There are many religions but mostly two have had Communal tension from the period of Mughals. These religions are Hindu and Muslim. Because their religious thought is not the same and some thoughts are against each other.
some problematic thoughts between the two religions are Marriage, Food, Women, and many more. There are other religions also exist which have Communal problems but these two Muslims and Hindus or Sanatan have very huge communal tension.
(ii) Caste
Cate is the second major barrier to Indian Integration because caste divides people multiple times and every person is affected by this. In caste, the caste system also plays a significant role in India’s voting system.
Many people choose their caste and they never vote for another caste. This plays a barrier in India’s Integration.
In India, people are divided into multiple castes which helps in dividing India into multiple categories. There are some caste examples: Jatt, Yadav, Rajput, Brahmin, and Dalit. We all know the issues of Dalits. In Past times, the Upper Class compressed the lower caste in the name of religious tradition.
(iii) some organization
In India, some organizations are trying to divide India for their benefit. In the past Period, the Britishers divide India for their benefit, and due to this reason India is divided into two three nations: India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
(iv) Language
Yes! You heard right. India is also divided into many languages almost 14 to 18 languages are there which helps to divide the society and it also helps in dividing India’s Integration. Some Languages are Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Bhojpuri etc.
Before and After Independence, Indian people were fighting for what is the national language of India. If you see the south part of India the language is different from the north part of India.
These people are telling in their tribal language that’s why still today, India has no National language.
(v) Region
The region is also a Barrier to Indian Integration. We all know, the issue of Jammu and Kashmir and also the death rate of people. After 2019, the issue is decreasing but not stopping.
One another state where the issue arises is Manipur.
Many North-East people facing some Kind of problem in the south direction of India which increases the issue of division of India. After the Britishers Quit India, India was divided based on religion which is still a problem in both countries.
